Our Story

Crave Kitchen + Wine Bar is located in the heart of downtown and has been catering to Regina’s business community, event scene, and daily food + beverage appetite since 2006.
Built-in 1912, the building has been a downtown focal point as the historical Assiniboia Club until its closure in 1998.
The preservation of its architectural design features creates a unique atmosphere that lends to a business lunch, wedding, or date-night.
Crave can cater to groups ranging from 2 to 350 guests. Reserve a table in our intimate restaurant lounge or book one of our private event spaces to celebrate a special occasion. Cheers!

Meet the Team

Jonathan Thauberger

Managing Partner & Executive Chef

Chef Thauberger’s extensive 26+ culinary career started in Vancouver; where he graduated from Dubrulle French Culinary School and continued gaining his experience and love for food under the guidance of fellow Chefs Julio Gonzales Perini and Bernard Cassavant.
He spent several years in the Okanagan; where he saw the importance of using local products and built partnerships with producers to create dishes that highlighted B.C. wine country.

In 2012, Jonathan joined Crave as Executive Chef, where he continued to incorporate local and specially sourced Canadian ingredients to the menu and bringing to the kitchen the nose to tail philosophy; in 2016 became a managing partner, is President of the Regina Culinary Federation branch, and member of Culinary Team Canada who will represent Canada at the Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, Germany on February 2020.

Marcie Faucher

Chef de Cuisine

Marcie’s strong work ethic, efficiency, and impeccable skills make her a driving force within the Crave team. Her plating is nothing short of perfection, and she assures that the team keeps up to her expectations. 

Celebrate a birthday with us and watch for Marcie’s chocolate calligraphy on your dessert plate. Like the rest of her work, it’s flawless.

Jessica Wallman

General Manager

Jessica has been a part of Crave for the past nine years. She sets the standard for quality staff, efficient service, and consistent presentation.

From creating the cocktail and wine menus to managing nightly service, Jessica is in tune with our guest’s needs and desires. Her dedicated staff follow her lead of preparedness to provide an exceptional, yet accessible experience. You can find Jessica managing an event, behind the bar or in the office. She is consistent with raising the bar and keeping the team focused.

Emily Nicholson

Operations Manager & Event Catering

Emily is Crave’s longest-tenured staff member and has been with the company since 2007. Her talent lies in working closely with clients to create events that celebrate a special occasion or corporate success.

Emily will work with you to design and execute your event from the planning stage to the “big day.”

Her expertise lies in wedding planning, business dinners, promotional showcases and off-site events.

On a day to day basis, she is available handling all things “business” working to connect the local community and partners with the Regina Downtown and all things Crave.
